A wonderful, perfectly located, casually elegant hotel. Classic Venetian rooms in a cozy little spot right across from the gondola filled lagoon. I loved this location because you are near the salty sea air, with the sounds of sea gulls and water, but can pop right into one of the narrow streets and inverse yourself into the labyrinth of Venice. Best of both worlds! 4 minute stroll to St. Marks Square! Thank you to Hans at the reception for helping us with everything we needed during our stay. So gracious and kind. And thank you to Maricel who made every morning bright and delicious at breakfast. I left my purse with everything important in the restaurant, and she chased me down immediately to return it. Lovely people, comfortable, quaint, and charming hotel. I would stay here again and again!

Fabulous staff-A+! Awesome balcony overlooking canal room with live saxophone player out my window every night! Big breakfast included! A/C worked great! Ideal location for everything, including boat transportation, gondola rides, St. Mark’s Square and more! Would stay again! Loved the hotel and staff!

We have been coming to Venice for many years, and Pensione Wildner is always our go-to hotel. The location is fantastic—right on the Grand Canal and just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square. The rooms are comfortable and have that wonderful traditional Venetian style and character that we love. One of my favorite things is opening the windows, looking out over the canal, and hearing all the activity of Venice below. The rooms also have air conditioning, which is a nice plus. The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the attached restaurant is wonderful. The food is very good, and it’s so convenient to enjoy dinner, wine, or drinks right at the hotel. The only thing that would make it even better would be an elevator or lift for luggage and guests who have difficulty with stairs. Otherwise, we absolutely love staying here and will continue to return whenever we are in Venice.
