Antonio was a fantastic host. I would recommend that anyone looking for a place to stay in Windhoek stay at Maison Ambre. He will look after you like family, or even better, like a life long friend.

The service and cleanliness of the Guesthouse are fabulous. It serves a great breakfast. I gave 4 stars to the area around the facility, outside the gate, just to call attention to it being a mile from the center of Windhoek. The walk was not a problem for me, but it could be for a lot of folk. The management can order a car, and many tours will pick you up there.

I was in room 2 for 1 night. The shower is moldy and extra small. The bath room needs a major upgrade. The bedroom was adequate. The breakdast was sparce, but the owner is very attentive.
