Bonjour
The Desirade seems like a place for French people travelling within France, but if you are from elsewhere you can discover this little gem too. The owners speak French so it was good that I brushed up on my French so that we could communicate a little bit.
My husband and I went for our honeymoon and it was perfect for this. It was quiet and peaceful. We made use of the pool almost every day. We liked some of the details like the board games and leaflets about local activities.
We wanted a place where we could cook some of our own meals and it had all the items you need for this - pans, crockery, salt, mixed spices, chopping boards. Oh and most importantly: wine bottle openers!
Bon voyage!
