I would highly recommend Hacienda El Porvenir! The lodge and the amenities were impeccable. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly very attentive to our needs and spoke fluent English. Mateo and Michele were the best! In the restaurant, Annie and Lady were very pleasant and great servers. Miguel guided our horseback trip, which was the highlight of our trip! We love the food, the accommodations, and the spa. Despite it rugged vintage appearance, we were so surprised to have a high-tech Japanese toilet with so many features in our bathroom. If you are planning a trip to Cotopaxi, you absolutely have to stay here!

Amazing atmosphere in this country setting. Staff were wonderful, food and drink was great. The spa baths, temezcal, and massages are excellent. Horseback riding was a fantastic experience.
The road to get there is difficult, so do not take a regular car taxi to get there, it will not make it and there is no cellular service in the area to call for help whrn you get stuck. Use a truck taxi or SUV. The hotel has wifi.
