We landed at Alicante airport we got a taxi to Alcoi the bus takes a about hour and half
Taxi took 50mins .the town of Alcoy is historical the main shops are 20/30mins away
Or hop on a local bus.
We had breakfast at hotel which was nice and evening meal rooftop dining was different
The staff were friendly.

I was unhappy with the ten hour stopover in Madrid as I didn't realise until too late to cancel with nowhere to go ahead of my journey also on the return journey from Alicante to Madrid I was charged thirty Euros for the baggage which weighed the same as the forwarding journey which no one could explain
