In spite of reading many positive reviews of this place, I wondered how clean and nice a place called Chuckwagon Lodge and Store would be, Well, the answer is, very clean, very nice, great staff, and a well-equipped general store open well into the evening, with incredibly friendly staff. Great location. As an added bonus, during our two-night stay, we struck up conversations with two different groups of travelers, both times spending a half-hour or more exchanging pleasant experiences and ideas with them, This place just seems to draw friendly and sociable travelers,

The property was close proximity to Capital Reef NP & was a quaint place to stay. The pool was nice after hiking the canyons.
The staff wasn’t not helpful or even thankful after my husband fixed the sink!
The General Store prices were outrageous!!

The room is clean and well maintained. The only downside is that it does not offer free breakfast.

We loved our stay at the chuckwagon! It is part of the complex with the general store and deli and is super convenient! I would recommend for anyone looking to go to Capitol Reef!
