If you are a foreign traveler to Jordan and you require the big brands like Marriot, Hilton and other sanitized hotels then this place is not for you – but it should be. But if you like local flavor, being in the middle of an old and impressive example of indigenous shops and markets, then this is where you need to stay. I have been travelling for about 4 decades with most of it outside the US. I have also lived outside the US and generally love non-US cultures. This hotel gives you the chance to experience Amman the way the locals do and not through the lens of an overpriced American or European chain. It is an oasis of calm in the surrounding energy of the old city. It is one of the best I have ever experienced. I hope the owners keep it up……

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was super helpful, and is very close to the main attractions and the shops and restaurants. I loved it
