Way exceeded my expectations. Comfortable, quiet, and in a great location.
I also stayed at King George when I was in Athens, and I have to say that The Social Athens is even better. The bedding is more comfortable, and for the same budget, I had an entire rooftop penthouse.
Although it’s about a 3–5 minute walk from the city center, that slight distance makes a big difference—you get a much quieter room. As a very light sleeper, I was able to sleep through the whole night and even take daytime naps at The Social Athens. In contrast, in the city center, even with double-pane windows, you can still hear noise at night.
I loved the magnetic alphabet in the elevator—such a creative and fun touch.
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
I would definitely stay here again next time I’m back in Athens.
