The Claire Hotel

Everything was great — the room was clean, the staff were welcoming, and the whole experience made this an awesome place to stay.

Cute little collection of cabins. Accessibility getting into cabins was poor- variable height old warped wooden stairs made using a cane challenging. I hadn't asked for accessibility but stairs seem pretty basic. I'll go back, but be sure to have dealt with that at reservations. 2 bed room cabin was incredibly small, cozy to cramped depending on your taste. No seating whatsoever except side of bed. Bed reasonably comfortable. Very clean. Prices very high but consistent with that "resort" area. Hotel staff helpful and pleasant. Note: don't stay here if you can't deal with all online access.

The choices in Canyon Lake are very limited, but when I had to fly in to town to see my Grandmother one last time, I was able to quickly get a room for a good rate. When American Airlines cancelled my flight after I checked out of my room, they were able to get me a cabin to stay for an additional day. It was nice that something went right during my time there.

This is a contactless checkin and out with combination lock doors. It is cabins in the woods. Coffee maker and frig and microwave but no cafe. The wildflower restaurant just down the street is open for all meals and good. Parking lot is not at your cabin so must walk about a block. Good A/C.
