Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta – All Inclusive

Nice place, but I would not go back. The food was not very good and not worth going all inclusive. There are no other food options within walking distance so if you want to go a restaurant just know you’ll need to uber or taxi to and from.. Also, there were a few things wrong with our room. The phone didn’t work which was a bit inconvenient. The TV didn’t work, the shower had issues, and on the last day there was no water coming out of the sink, though that was brief, it was still a bit inconvenient. Also, our room key had technical issues twice and having to go down from the ninth floor each time something happened made are our stay unpleasant.

Wonderful place for family vacation. Enjoyed the pool, the beach and the food. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Clean rooms, mostly locals/non-foreigners but that may be due to the timing of our visit. I only stayed for three days but the Italian night food was Not It but it is what it is for all-inclusive. However, their mexican cuisine and breakfast is top-notch, no complaints. All you can eat and drink and it's pretty easy and quick to get a drink at any time. Quiet in the morning, starts to pick up at around noon but pools (many) are available till around 10PM, and there is a rooftop lounge/pool area if you still want to party. Staff can communicate well enough in English for whatever you may possibly need. Room upon arrival was clean though you can see some random wear-and-tear in odd places like the mirror or the not-working TVs.

Upon arriving in my hotel room, it was clearly dirty with cup stains everywhere. Shower glass was covered in mildew. No safe or chairs on our patio- clearly they were not ready for us, and that was after us unfortunately showing up late due to a flight cancellation. The staff were friendly and helpful. Pack your own lotion, shampoo, conditioner, etc. it was bad. The elevators were horrible - hopefully you’re on a lower floor because you can wait for up to 10 minutes for an elevator to arrive. Food is mediocre at best - some restaurants are only open on certain days and you may not be able to book at certain restaurants because it was a “change over week” leaving 1 restaurant or a buffet as your only option. The pool wait staff didn’t serve you nearly often enough (maybe once or twice a day) even when you tip them well. Around the pool there were dirty cups and plates everywhere, the wait staff did not clean those often enough. And we were there during their slow time (May) so I can’t imagine that it would’ve been better when it’s busy. It was overall a get what you paid for, wouldn’t stay for longer than a week max.
