The friendly Pauline welcomed us, showing us to our chaming old room (5 centuries old). Perfect for 3 adults with an anexe room for privacy, wonderful full English breakfast and seasonal strawberries.

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Room was spacious enough for all 4 of us. Ate in restaurant and food was amazing, only small criticism was i think they should ask what guest's would prefer for breakfast as they automatically brought out a cooked breakfast for all of us. Even if only offered, beans or eggs on toast as alternative would have sufficied. Overall would highly recommend this establishment and if ever around the area again would definitely book.

Everything about The George Inn Mere was perfection. It's so mall and quaint, yet feels like the home you never had. The rich history of the hotel, the staff, the beds, and rooms. All perfection. If you are looking for a small local place that is off the beaten path, this is it. You won't regret it.
