Nestled in mountains. Nice shops nearby. Great gift shop and food. Great staff.

A big hotel with ample parking lots. Breakfast was great with fresh supply of Furano milk.

A beautiful resort surrounded by nature and one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip. The setting is peaceful, with easy access to Furano’s attractions, forests, onsen and walking trails. Waking up to the mountain views was a treat every morning. The hotel has a classic resort feel, a bit dated fixtures for the rooms but with good facilities, and a relaxing atmosphere. Not that near the hub of ‘town’ but all within short driving range.

We enjoyed our stay at the Shin Furano Prince Hotel. The hotel is located right next to the ski slopes and although there wasn't any snow, we had a beautiful view of the autumn foliage and deer grazing on the slope at night. Be aware that they only have central air conditioning and no individual room controls but the temperature was fairly comfortable in the room. We didn't use the onsen but we did visit their large store downstairs and visited the charming artist workshops at Ningle Terrace next door.
