It is a lovely spot with beautiful gardens, privacy and a BBQ area. You feel very connected to nature. The dogs are lovely, the internet is fast and the view is to die for! The kitchen is very handy to cook your own food.

No TV in the room, on a cold miserable night a movie would have been good to watch

From the vibrant blossoms in the garden to the warm smiles of the people, everything in this place exudes an unparalleled charm. The river, winding gracefully through lush landscapes, dances with reflections of the sky, while the surrounding nature whispers the serene melodies of a forgotten paradise. This oasis, this little slice of heaven on Earth, beckons me with an irresistible allure. My soul yearns for more moments immersed in its tranquility, and I find myself counting the days until I can return to bask in its beauty once more.

It was very peaceful and relaxing, the water flowing from the river makes one appreciate the nature. Will definitely stay over in future when visiting Cape Town. Highly recommend this for the whole family.

Only the loadshedding was a problem in the evening and early morning.

The accomodation was adequate with braai area and spacious gardens

No serviced reception area to assist with issues. we were created by the manager / owner who left with his family for the weekend. Our units electricity tripped and Ben at the property tried his best to repair it however after returning from our evening out around 11pm we had no electricity with a note offering to move us and to please only get as app his number. we opted to sleep and contact him in the morning as it was late. In the morning we tried to contact the number listed for the property - no answer - we what’s apped Ben - no answer. The complaint from our side is that with a property with a number of units there should be someone there to assist or be able to call to assist. The property is in the hospitality industry however there is no real service ethic and this should be addressed. There should be a number with an accessible , competent staff member to assist the guests immediately. They are in the hospitality industry?

it's like a forest Wonderland, what with the cascading river just outside our cottage. every corner has a splash of creativity and inspiration imparted

I found it odd not to have a television in the room.

Waterland Lodge is a lovely place to stay. I was only there one night but could have stayed a week! The gardens are beautiful, the host very welcoming and helpful, the room was excellent - private, comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. Plenty of space for kids if you have them with you. Good wifi. Great location.

Nothing to not like. Everything was great.

The views and comfortable bed. The cottage was cosy and well equipped.

Loadshedding impacted the ability to warm meals and have coffee.. Maybe a gas stove could make the stay more comfortable?
