The room was exactly as presented. CLEAN, and centrally located to Southhampton tourist spots: Bargate, medieval walls, & water front. 25 min walk or 7 min uber. The Shirley house is on a busy somewhat main street. It has many small local bars and eaterys down the road within 5-15 min walk. Staff was great I asked for a late check out, 12noon vs 11am and they were very accommodating.
I arrived late (9pm / 21:00). I could not see the Shirley guest house sign. Took me a minute to find location. If possible add a illuminate sign? The location is on a somewhat main street. I was in the room directly facing the street on the 2nd floor. You can hear the car's driving by all night, it wasn't a big deal for me but worth mentioning if you book the front rooms facing the street.
