Cozy apartment near historic center. It was very very clean with a nice balcony to enjoy your morning espresso. Host provided complimentary bottles of water for our first day, espresso capsules, bathroom had also single-use shower gel & shampoo. We visited from Greece on a motorcycle, and the biggest peace of mind for me was the enclosed garage. We parked the motorcycle and in literally less than 5 minute walk we were in the Sassi. Great value, we definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the future!
Apartment was on 3rd floor and the elevator was not accessible by us. Needed some sort of remote key we were not provided. It would be nice to have and save a couple of trips with the luggage or climbing up in the excessive heat during the time we visited. My fiancee mentioned that the bed & pillows could be better, I found them to be okay. An improvement could be to add a clothes rack or a couple of wall hangers for towels, though I found them to be missing from every place we stayed in South Italy so it might be common.

The place was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. It was perfect for exploring Matera on foot, so we didn’t need any transportation or a car. We also really enjoyed the great coffee! Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

I was able to park my car. And it was reasonably close to the main part of the old town. Room had coffee and water.
The air conditioner was extremely noisy, waking me several times through the night even with ear plugs. There were lots of stairs so I was grateful I only had small luggage for this part of my trip. Everything else was ok
