I booked this very late in the day after a cancelled flight and the staff was ready for me when I arrived. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful balcony on an upper floor with a great view. Only complaint was that it appears to be a slightly older building and there are very few power outlets in the rooms.

We stayed for 9 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice and the food was alright (what you would expect from a buffet). The room was more spacious than expected, we had a living space with a sofa separate from the bedroom. Cleanliness could have been better, the rooms were cleaned daily but the bed sheets weren't changed at all during our stay. (We also noticed stains on the bed sheets even though they were clean when we checked in). They have 2 pool, one only for adults which was nice. Water at the adult pool was very cold so we had to take a trip to the other one for a swim. The other pool is "heated" but expect the water to still be a bit cold. All in all I would recommend staying here. Would stay here again if I come back to Madeira.

Perfectly situated hotel as we enjoy a stroll into the centre, lots of buses if you prefer to ride.Lots of good eating places nearby.Hotel itself friendly and welcoming, clean in all areas and very spacious suite with balcony to sit in the sun.Excellent choices at breakfast buffet and staff filling things up as they get low and clearing tables efficiently. All in all a lucky find for our time in Funchal.
