We loved the piece and quiet and beautiful/breath-taking surroundings. The staff were friendly and the food was impeccable. We were not impressed with how we were greeted, the coffee in the room was not replaced on a regular basis which means you had to ask for replacements, the towels that were removed were not replaced. There was no welcoming package (as with other **** hotels) i.e. chocolates on the bed or table.

We were unfortunate to have had same booking as a wedding for that weekend, so there was a fair bit of noise and activity so we didn't get to enjoy tranquility of the place until our last full day there. I could definitely see myself going back to La Montagne for a quiet getaway
