Alto Mar Ilha Grande Suítes

We had an amazing experience staying here! The place was very, very clean, smelled wonderful, and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. I absolutely loved the design and atmosphere of the place — very cool, with beautiful green, vintage and tropical vibes. It had a really charming and relaxing feel that suited the island perfectly. One thing that really stood out was the warm water — compared with other places we stayed, the water here was among the hottest and most comfortable. The bed sheets and pillows were also very comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The room had everything we needed, including a Smart TV and fridge. In the morning, they served delicious coffee, cake and cookies, and there was also hot water available for tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we always felt very safe. The location was excellent — close to everything, with restaurants and shops nearby. There was even a kayak rental place right next door, which was very convenient. I also really appreciated the outdoor shower/water spray at the entrance, which was perfect for washing the sand off after coming back from the beach. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would happily stay here again. Everything was comfortable, clean, welcoming and full of character. Highly recommended!

As a small suggestion for improvement, the water flow from the sink could be stronger, and the Wi-Fi was sometimes quite slow and difficult to use. Neither issue bothered us during our stay, but improving these would make an already great experience even better.

The outside area was very good! It had a kitchen, tables, chairs to sit and relax. There was also a fridge inside the room. The location was also very good. A very short walk to the center.

It’s really close to the beach, the location is nice and the stuff is nice.

The rooms are not well isolated. You can hear anything happening outside at all times. The reception had music on from 8:30 in the morning, and as our room was really close, it would wake us up. The share kitchen is also in front of the rooms, so it’s also noisy and you cannot open the windows of the room without everyone seeing inside, so there is little natural light. Another thing to take into account but not a huge problem, there is not “room service” so no one comes to clean the room during the stay.
