Great place in the center of Mazar. Very secure, clean. High speed WiFi, strong AC and delicious breakfast. The best part of the hotel though is the staff. Amazing caring people who look after you as if you are family. Definitely recommend

Good value hostel/hotel.
The rulers of the country the hotel is in. Unless yr into backwards religious police carrying bits of hose pipes to hit people with and crushing poverty. Indie travellers can talk about how real the people are in Afghanistan, but very few of them seem happy. Disaster tourism at its finest

Rahat hotel is very good, located within walking distance from the blue mosque in Mazar insharif. And not too crowded. There is a restaurant just downstairs. I walked a lot in Mazar and it was completely safe. There’s always a taxi in front of the hotel but I don’t really use it as it’s expensive. Breakfast buffet was good too!
no lift? be prepared to carry your luggage’s up.
