The staff is very nice. However we have to book the bath (daily if we want), it was very pleasant. The traditional breakfast was also amazing. The room was nice.
I would prefer a bath or shower in the room, but the experience whould be different. What I didn't expect is my room had a normal mattress on the floor instead of those thin traditional Japanese matresses. That area can be noisy during the night.

The room was very large and spacious. Dinner was served on time and was absolutely delicious. The same went for breakfast. The staff were very kind and accommodating. Overall, my stay was very peaceful and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have a private shower in my room, but the shower room more than made up for it.

Incredibly well run ryokan, with exceptional staff that took care of every need.
We chose the Kaiseki meal for dinner, which turned out to be one of the greatest meal experiences of our life. Each course was presented to us, and served elegantly in the traditional way, in a chambre séparé, seated on the floor. Rooms were very comfortable and the private bath (to be booked on arrival) so relaxing. Top notch!
Be aware that breakfast is as traditional as everything else, and consists of fish, fermented things etc. However very good coffee!
