Uppuveli Beach by DSK

The outdoor areas, the garden, the swimming pool and the sun loungers are very nice.

First of all, the hotel was not a 5-star property, as indicated by the filter on Booking.com, but rather a 4-star hotel. We had booked a twin room for 4 people, but the room was equipped with amenities and supplies (slippers, towels, bathrobes, glasses, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chairs on the terrace, etc.) for only 2 people. In addition, the room was very small, with the two beds practically pushed together and only about 20 cm of space between them. In my opinion, the size and layout of the room are not appropriate for a 4-star property. The bathroom also had some issues: the shower does not have an adequate curtain or protective screen, so when the shower is used, water ends up practically all over the bathroom. A hairdryer was also provided, but it was unusable because the necessary adapter to connect it to the power supply was missing. Another issue concerns the prices of the meals. On Booking.com, optional additional costs of €15 for lunch and €17 for dinner were indicated. However, at reception we were asked USD 25 for lunch and USD 30 for dinner, which is a significant difference.

Beautiful property situated on stunning beach. My wife broke her ankle while there and the support and attention received from management and staff was exceptional. We were very well looked after. An excellent place to recoup. We utilised the day spa as well and received excellent service with what we thought was reasonable prices. We ate down near the beach a lot and the service there was outstanding. Will definitely return when all legs are working!

Wheel chair access was a little rough with the pavers and steps but let’s face it - no one really expects to end up in a wheelchair while on holidays!

I stayed at Uppuveli Beach by DSK for one night on the all-inclusive package, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. The resort is in a stunning beachfront location with beautiful views of the ocean. 🌊 Every member of the staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and always happy to help. I highly recommend Uppuveli Beach by DSK to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.🇱🇰
