Mövenpick Hotel Brussels Airport

Stunning rooms bar and restaurant all virtually brand new and well designed bright modern decor. Rooms huge nice bright bathroom with good showers all in mint condition. Airport hotel restaurants usually pretty basic food by contrast this hotel actually has a restaurant I would go to even if not staying there - short menu of proper food so high quality staff behave as though it’s a proper restaurant not the usual enjoy as a processed burger is plonked down in front of you. Nice touches like olives bread nuts while you wait for meal and decent wine list too. Great views over surrounding area and it so quiet you don’t here rooms around you and I wasn’t aware of any aircraft or road noise. Large searing area on other side of top floor with self service cabinets of drinks snacks etc and it’s so nice one not inclined to scurry back to room but stay up there and enjoy the view. Has lots of parking and very convenient for motorway network.

Getting to and from the hotel to airport - they have a shuttle which is a big bus which stops on road not at front door it runs in early morning for a bit and again early evening for a bit outside those times you have to get a cab - over was about £20 to get from airport and £12 to go back. I had to wait 45 mins for shuttle on arrival. Seemed other hotel had more frequent services. There appear to be some teething problems with computer system - on checking in chap in front was told he hadn’t paid he has and they managed to confirm after checking various systems in my case it couldn’t take payment from two different cards despite having used extensively eleaewhwre without issue eventually they did it on some other system and it worked - am sure as hotel is new it’s just new systems and new staff and will be solved shortly

The rooms and facilities were lovely and felt modern. I was very comfortable in the room and it was clean.

I wanted just a basic sandwich for lunch but there was nothing available and nowhere nearby. The breakfast was poor for the cost. The food had clearly been sitting around for a long time and the hot offerings were basically empty and not refilled. A lot of the tables had not been cleaned either.

Everything was great! The stuff was very polite and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable!

The only downside is the location, is a little bit far for the city center so you’ll need a bus to get there but, the airport is close 😁
