This stay was definitely one of the best places we've got the chance to stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The hosts; Nisal and his family, were always very attentive and was there to help with any of our queries. You get a wonderful place to yourselves, overlooking a small lake. We loved waking up to the sounds of the birds and seeing tiny ducks swimming around the lake. The accommodation comes fully stocked with complimentary food, drinks, and snacks. It's probably the first place we have seen that comes with a large range of complimentary items. The kitchenette was fully equipped for any type of food preps and cooking. Staying at Cottage by the Lake in Thalawathugoda was truly the best experience of my lifetime! The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering the perfect level of comfort. The serene surroundings and picturesque views make it an ideal retreat for nature lovers It's like stepping into a little paradise. The owner is an absolute gem. So kind, warm, and accommodating, which made our stay even more delightful. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway close to nature with exceptional hospitality, this is the place to be!
