Great location and huge space! The property is exactly like the pictures :) It was clean and the host communicated really well & allowed us to check in earlier. Easy self-check in & check out process. Steps away from the center and lots of restaurants around :)

This apartment was so large!! Spotlessly clean. Felt very upmarket.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

The apartment was enormous and visually spectacular. Ultra modern. The entrance foyer you see in photos is also spectacular but it is the only “old world” part. The beds were very comfortable, there was a bathtub, everything was clean and the place was well heated (although we couldn’t quite work out how to use it so it was very hot at night). Finally, the location was exceptional. Basically across the street from Giulietta’s house and a 1 minute stroll to Piazza delle Erbe.

We did not like that, despite having 2 bathrooms, there was only one shower. This may not be an issue for others but it was for us (3 adults). Our mistake for not checking when we booked. Also, there was no view. The windows open but there is a view of a wall 1m away on one side and of an unsightly car park on the other. Again, something we could have checked when booking. What we could not have checked when booking however, was the apartment’s lack of any warmth or “homeliness”. This apartment is clearly managed as a rental and does not seem like someone’s home. It feels more like a product than a home. The thing we disliked the most however, was the service. There was basically none, except that they allowed us to check in at 1pm instead of 3pm. The communication was unresponsive, and mechanical, cold and impersonal when it came. We saw a glimpse of it when booking, with the most ridiculous registration procedures we have ever seen (and we have been traveling for months now), but we didn’t give it much notice. For example, they asked for photos of our passports and of us holding the passports. Finally, on our last night, we received a message out of nowhere, framed politely, but saying that the kitchen was free for us to use (most people would assume that was a given) and if we didn’t leave it the way we found it, we would be charged an extra €30. Putting aside that they cannot legally do this, it just typified the coldness and impersonal nature of their customer service and soured our stay. For us for example, other than the occasional coffee and water, we did not use the kitchen as we ate out every day. We would have washed our 3 cups anyway, because we always do, but to threaten a customer for not washing dishes, is outrageous and insulting. We will not be back.
