Last-second booking after another property in Barrow was too dirty to stay in. This house is wonderful - so welcoming, luxury bathroom, perfectly useful kitchen, comfy beds, lots of storage for clothes and bits, plenty of space and great light, ultra fast internet, peaceful quiet road only a few minutes on foot from the city centre. I'm baffled as to its low rating, it's a real find and with 3 spacious bedrooms it's super value for money.

The first auto email you receive upon booking gives you an expired code for the key box, you have to wait for a later email to receive an up to date code which I didn't realise - can be confusing. Not a complaint but fyi, it has quite steep internal steps, probably not ideal for anyone with limited mobility.

Very well equipped, comfortable house. Finished to a high standard.

No on site parking (which we knew about) but parked at a nearby carpark for a reasonable price. Taxis to the venue we visited were very reasonable.

Good size property for me and my family (2 parents, 3 adult children and 1 teenager) to stay in to visit family over Christmas. Reasonable price for number of people. Good level of kitchen equipment, good communication and info shared about the property in advance of stay. Modern contemporary decor. Eco focused.

Requested a 1 hour earlier check in and later check out which was accommodated. Requested bedding for bed settee which wasn’t left out so had to sort myself (putting cases on pillows etc on arrival). Bed settee could not accommodate 2 adults as too small. Had to hoover settee when opened settee into bed due to lots of crumbs in the fold - but poor when host knew we were using it as bed. Not enough seating in living area for number of guests. Settee could sit 3 of us comfortably rest of us had to sit on dining chairs which wasn’t very comfortable to watch tv. Mattresses were very bouncy- not to my liking but that is a personal preference thing. Stairs very steep and no bannister rail at all with very steep step into bathroom and metal type railing at top of stairs which was a little wobbly. would have been worried if had younger kids. We had adult with mobility issues who struggled without bannister rail. Light bulb out on landing which made stairs more precarious in night - luckily had brought a night light with me. Large stain to main bedroom ceiling which was unsightly and was worried that ceiling would leak if heavy rain. Area not great to walk out in but fine if you are using as a base and have car. No parking outside due to resident parking permits only - found free place to park on marsh street with 5 min walk back to property.

Maison rénovée avec goût , propre, dans un quartier populaire de Barrow. Cuisine fonctionnelle, lits très confortables, literies très douces, linge de toilette très bien, eau chaude sans difficultés.

Cette maison n'est pas faite pour des personnes d'un certain âge et pour de jeunes enfants : pas de rampe de sécurité pour monter à l'étage avec un escalier très raide. Marche pour aller dans la salle de bain trop haute, risque de chute en descente et l'escalier est à ce niveau; Linge de maison taché. Court circuit avec le grille pain; les stores des 2 chambres du haut cassés, heureusement nous avions avec nous un bricoleur qui a arrangé les choses pour que nous puissions dormir et garder une certaine intimité ( le problème était connu par nos bailleurs). le jardin intérieur dans un état pitoyable, sale avec des mégots et des déchets. la machine à laver dans un local vétuste dehors repose sur une pierre plate. Et enfin le stationnement, qui demande beaucoup d'énergie pour trouver un emplacement sans pass dans les rues adjacentes. Sinon c'est un parking à 500 mètres et qui coute entre 10 et 12 livres par nuit.
