The room was large and clean and modern. It was very comfortable. The gardens and main house are very beautiful. The village is quaint but not much there other than a shop.
For the price there really isn't anything that could have made it better. Maybe just a sink in the kitchenette but I'm being picky now.

It is a beautiful setting.
I had everything that I needed.
The bed was enormous with cotton bedding and fluffy towels, toiletries provided and a proper coffee maker.
My dog was welcome there and enjoyed the grounds.
I think some rubber matting on the floor in the kitchen area would save the carpet getting ruined.
A little washing up bowl would keep things tidy.
A local guide book in the room would add an extra touch.

Countryside location, beautiful grounds, beautiful old building.
Faulty fire alarm system, with no saftey response after reporting fault to the receptionist on call but not on site around 2am early morning. No reassurance or apology from any member of staff the following days.
