Iluma Via Roma

Alloggio carino, in posizione strategica. Proprietari disponibili e cordiali.

Location was excellent if visiting Ercolano ruins it's only a 15 minutes walk away, and the train station is also a 15 minutes walk away. I spent one night here, one in Cassino and then came back for another night. I was offered the chance of staying a little later on the last morning, as my flight was not leaving until the evening, but I chose to spend the day in Naples instead with some recommendations of places to visit from the host.

I couldn't get in at first as all locked up. Ended up having to call the owner, who speaks very little english, who then passed on the code for the key safe. From the outside the building doesn't look in great shape but inside it was nice enough. The pre-packaged breakfast has already been mentioned on here so it was no great surprise, but at least it was something. There was tea and coffee available but no kettle, which meant having to boil water in a pan on the stove. Don't expect too much from Ercolano itself, there's not a lot in the way of bars and Restaurants, but there's a nice Italian restaurant between the accommodation and the station.

Ich empfand es nicht ganz sauber. Es roch etwas nach Feuchtigkeit. Bewohner in der Oberen Etage waren sehr laut
