BEAUTIFUL JULY IN PERUGIA HISTORIC CENTER

Il mio appartamento a Porta Sole si trova nel centro storico di Perugia, a pochi passi da Piazza IV Novembre e da Corso Vannucci. E’ raggiungibile con il mini metro ( stazione PINCETTO) e si trova nel punto più alto e panoramico della città.
La zona è molto tranquilla, l'atmosfera è speciale e unica e gli spazi all'aperto con fregi della cultura umbra ti lasceranno senza fiato.
La mia casa è adatta a coppie, avventurieri solitari, viaggiatori d'affari, famiglie e i nostri amici pelosi (animali domestici), purché educati e di piccola taglia sono ben accetti ed amati.
La mia casa e’ stata completamente rinnovata nel novembre 2016 con l'intento di renderla unica, accogliente e in perfetta armonia con l'architettura umbra. Si trova al primo piano di un edificio storico che si affaccia sulla piazza sottostante ed è realizzato con amore e cura in ogni aspetto: architettonico, di arredamento, di dettagli.
Si trova al primo piano di un edificio storico di soli tre piani.
L' alloggio è suddiviso in due ampie camere: un ingresso con una zona pranzo e una cucina completamente attrezzata con un camino funzionante.
La seconda stanza e' un salotto con un divano letto a L, un letto matrimoniale soppalcato e un bagno con comoda doccia, completo di set da bagno.
Nel salotto ci sono un TV al plasma, un MacBook ad uso degli ospiti, uno speaker bluetooth Harman Kardon al quale potete connettere i vostri dispositivi per ascoltare la musica.
L'intero appartamento è a vostra completa disposizione.
La cucina è nuova, completa di utensili per preparare i pasti, un grande frigorifero con congelatore, lavastoviglie, lavatrice, forno, macchina per il caffè. Nella cucina si trova anche una lavatrice-asciugatrice molto facile da usare.
Nei bagni avrete shampoo, asciugacapelli, sapone e tutto ciò che potrà esservi utile.
La connessione Wi-Fi (ad alta velocità) è gratuita 24 ore su 24.
Vi riceverò al check-in con tutte le informazioni sulla casa e sulla città, al fine di rendere il vostro soggiorno unico e super piacevole.
Il vostro soggiorno sarà sicuramente rilassante perché la casa è in una piazza tranquilla e completamente insonorizzata, situata in una delle zone più belle della città.
Porta Sole è il luogo del centro storico più alto di Perugia. Per arrivarci, partendo da Piazza Michelotti, si arriva ad una altezza massima di 493 metri sul livello del mare. Da questo punto si può vedere tutta la città e godere di una vista unica e spettacolare, perdendosi nei villaggi sottostanti.
Anche tornare a casa sarà come scoprire le aree tipiche del centro di Perugia, perché il percorso sarà nelle strade e nei vicoli tipici e caratteristici della mia antica città. Ad esempio, l'unico dipinto di Raffaello a Perugia è a soli 50 metri dalla mia casa, nella Cappella di San Severo. A pochi metri di distanza avrete una delle viste più spettacolari di Perugia.
NOTE: in casa è severamente vietato organizzare cene, feste o qualsiasi altro tipo di evento che possa disturbare la quiete della zona.
I libri in casa sono, per me, un bene prezioso a cui tengo moltissimo. Avete il mio permesso di leggerli durante la vostra permanenza, ma siete pregati di riporli al loro posto.

My place in Porta Sole is in the high Perugia historic center, close to public transports, a few steps from Piazza IV Novembre and Corso Vannucci. You will like my accommodation because the area is very quiet, the atmosphere is special and unique, and outdoor spaces with friezes of the Umbrian culture will leave you breathless. My accommodation is suitable for couples, lone adventurers, business travelers, families (with children) and also for our small & polite hairy friends (pets).
La Casetta di Porta Sole is located in the highest area of the historic center of Perugia. It was renovated in November 2016 with the intent to make it unique, welcoming and in perfect harmony with the Umbrian architecture. It is on the first floor of a historic building, overlooking the square below and it is made with love and care in every aspect: both architectural, both of furniture, both in terms of facilities.
The accommodation is divided into two large rooms: the first is composed of the dining area and a brand new fully equipped kitchen with a small fireplace. The second room houses the living room (with plasma TV and sofa bed), a bedroom area on the mezzanine and a bathroom with shower (a complete bath set is provided).
In the living room you over the plasma Tv, you can find a MacBook to surf the internet and use yr e-mail address, and also an Harman Kardon speaker where you can connect yr device to listen to your music.
The entire apartment is at your full disposal. The kitchen is new, fully equipped with utensils and dishes needed to prepare meals, a big fridge with a freezer below, dishwasher, washer-dryer, oven, coffee maker.
In the bathrooms you will have shampoo, hair dryer, soap and everything can be useful.
Wi-Fi connection (at high speed) is free 24/7 .
I will receive you at the check-in with all the information about the house and the city, in order to make your stay unique and serene.
Your stay is sure to be relaxing because the house is on a quiet square and completely soundproofed, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the city.
Porta Sole is the highest place of Perugia. To get there we start from Piazza Michelotti and you get to a maximum height of 493 meters above sea level. From this point you can see the whole city and enjoy a unique and spectacular view, loosing yourselves in the underlying villages.
Also getting home will be like discovering the typical areas of Perugia city center, because the path will be in the streets and alleys between typical and characteristic of my ancient city. For example, the only painting by Raphael in Perugia is just 50 meters from my home, in the Chapel of San Severo. A few meters away it is one of the most spectacular views of Perugia.
Also, if I'm not in Perugia, I can also provide the Historic Center Car Pass (ZTL Area), so you can even park very near to my house.
I will always be at your disposal for information, need, tips, emergencies. I will give you the most important addresses to get around town and the numbers of those who routinely handle the maintenance of the house (the handyman, the plumber, the electrician).
This house has been furnished and recently restored with a lot of love and in the hope of giving warmth and hospitality to all those who want to spend a quiet stay, with a historical and gastronomic items. Together with those who want to get lost and walk in places that have enchanted and made Perugia one of the city's most beautiful province in the world.
Inside the house you will find a vademecum with the most important signs to guide you to the best in Perugia and surroundings (Assisi, Spoleto, Lake Trasimeno, historic routes, points of interest, favorites restaurants and hip places).
The apartment is located in a limited traffic area, open to transit from 13.00 to 24.00 - with paid parking (at different price ranges depending on the district).
There are two paid parking lot near the apartment (Covered Market and St. Anthony), otherwise you can park outside the ZTL about 15 min walk.
Anyone who chooses Perugia as a holiday destination knows he has a wonderful and unique historical center. And if well guided and supported with the right advice, even those that initially seem inconvenience can become valuable points. Leave the car and surrender to wander walk, will take you on an almost unreal dimension where you stroll, you'll find yourself in the narrow streets and squares remotest corners with a unique history.
From my Casetta di Portasole everything is walkable: San Domenico Basilica, St. Peter's Basilica, Ladders and Church of Sant'Ercolano, Rocca Paolina, the National Archaeological Museum of Umbria, Corso Vannucci and its Fontana Maggiore, the University for Foreigners, the Stadio of Santa Giuliana (with the wonderful manifestations of Umbria Jazz) and much more. From here you can easily reach local supermarkets and any kind of tourist attraction and points of interest such as museums or art galleries and monuments. Nearby there are public transports for getting even in the most remote areas. For example, the Minimetro allows you to reach fast various parts of the city and continuous during the day.
It will be really wonderful to discover the historical and artistic beauty of my wonderful city.

Came to Italy for my daughter’s destination wedding!!
I really enjoyed my stay at this property in Perugia. It was very clean, newly renovated and I liked the location. Perugia is full of hills, so get used to climbing a hill to get to the space.
Close to tons of restaurants and cocktail lounges as well as a COOP grocery store.
Close to public transportation such as buses and the MiniMetro.
Communication with Linda, the host, was very easy and checking in was easy as well.
I would definitely return.

What a great stay! My wife and I stayed in Linda's apartment for 4 nights while we visited our son, who is studying abroad in Perugia. The home is cozy, decorated so well to fit the space, and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
Linda was by far the most helpful and accommodating host we have ever had. From making local recommendations, to being incredibly responsive to our questions, to taking the time to book us an early morning cab to the train station, she was the absolute best!
This home is no more than a 2-3 minute walk to the city center, making it incredibly convenient, and the apartment, neighborhood, and city simply ooze with charm. We loved everything about it!

Although finding the place was not initially easy and paid parking was not real close, we loved the place. It was homey, interesting, unique, well stocked, and a great place to stay. You don't have to worry about car noise and loud parties at night. It was close to the main piazza of old Perugia. Walking in Perugia is the best way to see the old part of the city. We happened to be there during a wine festival, so we bought our sampler glass and tasted 5 wines. Better than one winery! We also got to hear live music and the woman had a good voice! We enjoyed seeing Perugia and using this vrbo as our base for multiple days. Our host was great!
