Hotel Paraiso Caribeño

The staff was so kind and helpful..all of them, the gentleman at the front desk, the waitresses, the cleaners..really exceptional people, the location, in the center of town and on the water. The bed was big and comfortable

it wasn't exactly dirty..but it wasn't exactly clean either. Booking.com said my room had a view. The building is 1 foot from the next building. The view is of that roof. I confirmed with the front desk. Yes. that is the view.

Ubicación. Es genial. En ese punto llegan todos los tours en lancha por lo que es sencillo ir a cualquier parte desde ahí. Además el personal en el counter da mucha más información de tours.

Primero hay que considerar lo antiguo del hotel para hacer este comentario. Tomen en cuenta que es muy antiguo, por lo que el baño tiende a ser encerrado. Las ventanas no se mantenían abiertas lo suficiente para ventilar. La cortina del baño tenía muy mal olor y en general olía mal el baño por esa humedad y encierro. Tratamos de mantener la ventana abierta con un bote de shampoo y eso alivió un poco. Pudimos ver una pequeña cucharachita pero es normal por lo viejo del hotel y la madera.

Estuvo limpio, cómodo , buen desayuno.

The location of Hotel Paraiso was excellent literally 2 minute walk from the water taxi. The breakfast was good value for money. The receptionist was really friendly and professional. The waitresses were friendly and even on an exceptionally busy night did their best to accommodate orders. The restaurant serves tasty food and decor is contemporary.

On the website it should state that water will be shut twice daily. 12-2pm & 6-7:30pm. This only stated on a poster on the bathroom. When we went to brush our teeth after 8pm had to go down to reception to inform them our sink had no running water it was rectified swiftly. They need to put hooks on the bathroom door, the bathroom is on the small side but utilities are ok. Our bed space was spacious, there was no view from the window. I think given the price charging for rooms do need to ensure details like mattress protectors are available. However it's located in a prime location and the restaurant located in the hotel does serve good food.
