When we looked for a quiet place in Swan Hill away from the noise but close enough to walk everywhere, Jenette and Rob’s place popped up with good reviews. As it turned out, the experience exceeded our expectations. The setup was very good and everything you need was there. While we had full access to the fully equipped kitchen (with our own fridge) and the living room (with huge TVs at our disposal), our bedroom and private bathroom could be closed off from the main house for privacy if we wanted. Janette and Rob are lovely hosts who went out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. We visited during the footy finals and watched the footy with the hosts two nights in a row, despite barracking for opposite teams! It felt more like visiting friends than staying as a travelling guests.

Hosts were very friendly, bed super comfy. Felt very at home. Nice quiet location. Everything was great.

At first it seemed a bit odd as you let yourself into the host's main part of their home and it's not clear where your room is. Having stayed in places like this before, a private entrance is all that's missing, but if the architecture doesn't suit it, not much can be done. However, your 'wing' has a door so you can close yourself off. NOTE parking is on the street and it's a busy-ish street before dark. With a car full of camping/travelling gear we were a bit concerned, but nothing bad happened!
