De locatie is erg centraal en er zijn meerdere wandelroutes direct vanuit de accommodatie. Achter het huis stroomt de Dranse dus je kunt heerlijk pootje baden. Bakker op 5 minuten lopen afstand. Supermarkt met de auto ook een paar minuten rijden. Fijn dat er een goede wasmachine met droger was en ook het ruime balkon vonden wij heel fijn. Goede douches en een heel fijn ligbad op pootjes. Vriendelijk contact met de conciërgerie. Rustig, ook al ligt het aan de weg. We zagen zelfs regelmatig een ree of hert rennen in het bos aan de overkant.

Had schoner gekund. Beddegoed had nog kruimels en vlekken en in de kast lag nog kleding van de vorige gasten. De slaapkamer in de kelder beneden rook erg naar vocht en was donker. Daardoor niet prettig om te slapen. We misten ook nog keukengerei, hebben we zelf gekocht. Relatief ver van het centrum van Chatel. Wifi is gebrekkig en ook 4g/5g is beperkt. We zaten er in een zeer warme periode. Ventilator of airco was fijn geweest. Deur van het toilet boven sloot niet.

We appreciated having this quiet space all to ourselves - the common kitchen / dining / living room area was perfect for gathering and enjoying the breeze and the sound of the creek outside. We were participating in a race series, and the range of soaking tub, showers with great fixtures, and sauna ensured everyone had something that met their recovery needs. Our hosts were kind and responsive to everything we needed. We would gladly stay here again! Location was great as well - you can walk up into the busier part of town if you want (parking can be hard to find and costly), but the chalet is in a location where you're not constantly dodging people just to drive down the street. We had everything we needed to cook (including fondue / raclette). The Intermarche is the larger of the two nearest grocery stores. There's a pizza place that's open Fri-Sun just down the street to the left, and that also has a pizza vending machine (!!) for pizzas that you can get hot or bake yourself. The restaurant next door - a few buildings to the right - was really good, too.

We didn't realize that we should come ready with detergents (laundry, dish, dishwasher) and extra toilet paper - not something we've encountered in our other travels. Easy enough to pick up at the store, but it might be a nice thing to be able to offer travelers who aren't driving from home...those are items that tend to be sold in quantities more appropriate for a month-long stay and don't travel well if you have to fly.
