Beautiful colonial hotel situated in the middle of Nuwara Eliya.
The gardens were stunning and beautifully kept.
The hotel was like a step back in time - not for those looking for a modern hotel - but the hotel was beautifully kept. My only comment would be that the bed was squeaky!
Dinner in the fine dining room was a real experience with a large diverse menu and wine list. Yes you have to dress up but that is part of the whole experience and was one of my favourite nights so far.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive - maybe too much so at times. They would check on us every five minutes but it was really lovely to see that they cared.

Nice genuin brittisk hotel at it very best!
Clean roooms, quiet, lovely social area such as the pub and the reading room.
Very skilled and serviceminded staff.
I can strongly recommend The Hill Club.
