Great location, good size apartment, warm and well insulated from noise. Free parking on site. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious.
5mins walk to local 4 Square, food options all around you within a minutes walk.
No wardrobe, so could do with somewhere to hang jackets/clothes. Due to the building in front (Haka House) there were no lake views from our room (11), however you do get a peek at the mountains on either side. It's likely you get much better views from rooms 1&2.

Large room with a peep of the lake. Spotlessly clean and a great shower. Beds were very comfy with clean crisp linen. Loved the soap and shampoo provided. Very friendly reception staff at the GODLEY. When the tv remote didn’t work they came immediately to change the battery.
Only 3 teabags and only two cups. No chopping board. We didn’t want to cook but cups of tea and cutting up some fruit was limited!
Also, for a dark sky location it was surprising that we could not turn off the stairway lighting which shined under our door all night. Simple fix to change to a security light that only comes on if someone is using the stairs.

Location is good.
Bed comfortable.
No bathroom heater, Tekapo is very cold in winter.
Very noisy bathroom extraction fan, neighbour's was on all night, hard to sleep.
Non IT people find new streaming TVs almost impossible to get to work, simplify them.
Very expensive for what is a basic motel.
