The room is very clean, and the hostess is clearly hardworking. It’s worth noting that although the listing photos include a kitchen, the hosts place a strong emphasis on food safety and guest health, so the kitchen is generally not shared with guests. We appreciate the host’s sense of responsibility and guidance in this regard. The bathroom is private and kept very clean, though it is located across the hallway rather than inside the room. The accommodation is within a family home shared with the hosts and their children, which may suit guests who are comfortable with a homestay-style experience. It almost feels like stepping back into the backpacker era. Free street parking is available on the nearby slope, so there is no need to worry about parking fees. All information can be found in the listing details, so it’s important to read carefully and consider expectations before booking, in order to avoid inconvenience for both guests and hosts. Thank you to the host family for their hospitality. This is not a typical guesthouse, but rather feels like staying at a distant relative’s home.

No need to change~ Best suited for guests who clearly understand the listing details and are comfortable staying in a shared family home, offering a rare sense of everyday life in sparsely populated New Zealand.
