Anthology of Athens, The Leading Hotels of the World

I had a very warm welcome from the girl that was at the reception - unfortunately I forgot her name now. She was so patient and really helped me plan my itinerary, gave me great recommendations of restaurants. The hotel also sent fruits and wine to welcome me.

The hotel is at best a 4 star. The lobby is small, it´s messy with the team working at the tables of the bar Also when I returned at night, I wanted a diet coke and the man that was at the reception said he couldn´t help as the bar was already close - at 11pm. So I asked him where could I buy it and he said I could look for a Mc Donalds. I checked on chat gpt and found a supermarket 10 minutes walking from the hotel. It´s an absurd to have to walk around in a city to look for something the room service could easily attend, specially in a hotel that is a small luxury hotel.

This hotel is a gem! From the super friendly front office staff to the beautiful rooms it was all to our satisfaction. Especially to mention is that it smells super nice everywhere. Not like perfume but just so fresh and clean if that makes sense. Wonderful dinner and breakfast on the rooftop of the hotel.

noisy on this street evening turn down service for the rooms - they shut the blinds but not the blockout shutters behind them, which was impossible to detect when we arrived back, so we all woke up with the first sunlight technology in the rooms a little complicated rooftop restuarant much smaller than expected and we were placed in the middle with no real view opposite the lift which just kept coming up and down with the food deliveries, not very pleasant being placed opposite that room configuration strange with bed facing the window rooftop restaurant not great - slow service, receptionist sat down and smoked in her break next to our table during our meal (right behind my 8 year old child), no one else was smoking in the restaurant. I found that highly inappropriate even if it is allowed. The menu wasn't very good and the english descriptons misleading, food overall average For the cost of this hotel I found it overall small and not particularly special The hotel asked incessantly via email for feedback, which i finally provided, and afterwards they never contacted me again. Clearly the feedback harassment emailing was just for their internal marketing stats, not actually to maintain a conversation with clients and understand their needs. Disappointing
