The location, the room, the bed, the kitchen and bathroom facilities,

A nice view.

Excellent location, close to Russel St underground, British. museum, lovely park just nearby. Very clean, plenty of room, comfortable bed, laundry in the building. Our host was excellent, stored our bag until check in time, also put our bags in the room. Very few stairs, lift available. Communication from our host spot on.

Nothing.

Great central location with plenty of amenities, restaurants and shops nearby. The studio was comfortable and well suited for our family of three.

The lack of a lift can be a little inconvenient, especially if you are staying on one of the higher floors. It would also have been nice to have daily cleaning service.

The apartment itself is beautiful, high-quality and exceptionally clean. We were genuinely impressed by the standard of the accommodation. The kitchen was also very well equipped, and everything appeared perfectly maintained. Communication before and during most of our stay was excellent. We had originally booked two nights and later decided to extend our stay. Our question about whether we could remain in the same apartment was answered very quickly, and everything was arranged without any difficulty. We were also helped with our luggage and were allowed to store it both before check-in and after checking out, which we greatly appreciated. Based on the apartment, its cleanliness and the service up to that point, this would easily have been a 10/10 stay.

Unfortunately, one experience completely changed our overall impression. We had deliberately booked an apartment with a kitchen because we intended to cook for ourselves. Although the kitchen is well equipped, it is extremely small, there is no extractor hood, and the smoke detector is positioned directly above the hob. As soon as we started cooking, completely normal cooking steam naturally rose straight towards the detector. Nothing had happened at that point, and the alarm had not gone off. We called purely as a precaution because we wanted a clear and reliable answer as to whether guests could cook normally in this kitchen or whether we needed to take any special precautions. We simply wanted to know whether the smoke detector was designed or positioned in a way that would prevent normal cooking steam from triggering it, whether this had happened before, and what exactly we should do to avoid setting off the alarm. Considering that the apartment is explicitly offered with a kitchen, we believe this was a completely reasonable question. However, we did not receive a clear answer or any useful information whatsoever. The man on the phone was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Instead of taking our concern seriously, he laughed at us and sarcastically asked whether we were having a barbecue. He eventually told us to turn up the fan of the air-conditioning system, even though he also confirmed that there was no extractor hood. At the same time, he warned us that if we triggered the detector, the alarm would apparently go off throughout the entire building. This only made the situation more confusing and stressful, because he emphasised the possible consequences without explaining whether normal cooking was actually safe or how we were supposed to prevent the alarm from being triggered. We were not calling to complain, nor had we caused any problem. We were simply trying to act responsibly and obtain a definite answer before anything happened.
