Lake Vibes Suites by "The House Of Travelers"

Accommodating was in a great location

Location and space was very good. Bathroom good.

We were in room 3. The Wi-Fi was very poor. The overhead shower was not plumbed in and therefore we could only use the smaller shower head. There was no staff presence so on a four night stay we received no laundry change.

Location central

Location was close to restaurants, bars, busses and lake. Nice Shower, small fridge.

Although location was good, the noise was terrible, 5 mornings out of 7 we were woken between 4 and 6am from bin lorrys, road sweepers, very noisy glass collection and busy carpark directly under the window. Music from bar below and customers into the early hours. The was a strong drain smell when we arrived, this was rectified quickly, but there was the smell of sweat or similar in the bathroom for the duration. There was no chair or table to sit at, you were either on the bed or standing, no mattress topper or protector, the sheet didn't really fit the bed, so you often woke up directly on the mattress and the bedding had quite a few stains on it. The flooring is a stick on parquet and had quite a large repair to it and it was partly covered by a mat. It was advertised as a Guesthouse which it is not, it's a room and bathroom, no personal touch. We did file a complaint and received a small compensation, but would rather pay more for a better standard or a Hotel. Take ear plugs, you will need them, there is no way of making it quieter. Wish we read the reviews!
