The views were spectacular.Charlie was very helpful and friendly. The garden was well looked after and the beds were very comfy. A true hiden gem.

The cottage could do with some modernisation, and a good clean. Didnt like the idea of having to pay for electricity

Great location for a holiday: a beach to walk from Trefor all the way to Dinas Dinlle at the right state of the tide, and several large hills around Trefor for magnificent views. There are also old abandoned quarries to explore (if you are adventurous and undeterred by ticks, brush, cliffs, bogs, jumbles of boulders, and collapsed structures). There's a convenience shop in the village, so no lengthy shopping trips for necessities. The cottages are in a remote location away from hustle and bustle: chances are, you'll only see coast path walkers, occasional beachgoers, neighbours from the other 2 cottages, sheep, and calves. The cottage is furnished in an old-fashioned way to make you think 50s or 60s, though the bathroom is recently remodelled. There is a wood-burning stove and a bundle of logs if you fancy a fire.

The cell reception at the cottage is usually awful and weather-dependent, and no wired internet is available -- so remote work from here is a no-go (this can be a good thing if you're looking to get away). The timed storage heater in the kitchen was broken, while all other heaters were connected to an electricity meter fed with £1/£2 coins (this at over £100 per night for stay). The hosts were away, and no self check-in instructions were provided following reservation (contrary to the usual practice); I was told to contact the hosts directly -- and this was a hassle, as I did not get a response till I was almost at the doorstep. There was some peeling paint and mould on the walls, albeit a dehumidifier was available.

Location was great. Remote, but that was what we were looking for. Beach and coastline on doorstep.

Beautiful location, bed was super comfortable, ni internet or phone coverage so it was a complete digital detox! A few issues upon arrival were sorted swiftly, owner was very helpful when I raised issues, friendly and helpful member of the team came to sort the issues that day. Location and views were stunning, very peaceful, restful place. Cottage is old and quirky which I loved!

Cottage needs TLC, windows need repairing (some difficult to open and close), interior paintwork could do with a touch up, general cleanliness poor although bedding and towels were clean.
