Unwind and recharge at this peaceful waterfront cottage on the tidal shores of Port Stephens. Nestled in the quiet streets of North Arm Cove, this two-bedroom retreat is the perfect city escape—private, tranquil, and surrounded by native Australian bushland and wildlife.
Step out onto the expansive front deck to soak up sweeping views across the cove, enjoy a hammock nap in the gentle breeze, or wander down to the water’s edge for a swim or explore the tidal rock flats (sea shoes recommended). Just 100 metres away you’ll also find a small sandy beach—ideal for a swim, paddle, or simply relaxing with your toes in the sand.
Days here can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you choose. Try your hand at fishing, take bushwalks through the surrounding natural landscape, or explore the cove by Kayak, the best way to see the area. Back at the cottage, the garage doubles as a fun games room with table tennis, darts, and push bikes for exploring. As evening falls, gather around the outdoor fire pit for stargazing and storytelling—a truly Australian way to end the day.
For quiet moments indoors, you’ll find a full library of books, a DVD player with a collection of movies, internet access, and Chromecast so you can stream your favourites. Perfect location for a quiet stay. All ammenities you would need, comfy bed, awesome sunroom. Books and dvds galore. I enjoyed the kayak on the still waters and the nesting rosellas.

What we love -The view and sunriseWhat we didn’t like or can be improved-- The driveway had lots of weeding and it was very hard to find the entry to driveway specifically at night.There was a very small solar light left at the entryway which was not working at nights.- The bedroom mattress was mouldy smelly.- We paid for the linen rent and we have been told on the phone that it will be all set for us. But there was just a big bag of sheets, pillowcases ect which we had to put on. Not something you want at your holidays specially when you are paying for it.- The back deck was full of leaves and droppings. We had to clean that up even on the day one to make it use.- Suggest you clean up the kids area specially the bookshelves. As most of the books and toys had small bugs and dust in them. - The dvd player and Netflix wasn’t working at all!!
