The property is very spacious, comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The garden/grounds are lovely, with tables and chairs on a patio area. The interior is a quite dated and could do with a spruce up in certain areas, but comfortable and has everything you need. On the whole it was very clean, but dust and cobwebs in places. Great place for rest and relaxation. We stayed as a couple, but would be ideal for a larger family or group of friends. Ample off-road parking on private drive.

as outlined the property is large both internally and externally and would be ideal for a summer holiday for a large family facilities within the property are good with no issues to report the one issue we had was that on arrival Saturday afternoon the property was very cold which aligned with the heating set up which wasn't going to get the temperature up to an acceptable level for mid March - having adjusted that it took until Monday morning to get to a satisfactory solution which based on the cost for the week was disappointing.

We stayed for Christmas and the house was perfect, plenty of space and had most things we needed. The garden was amazing for our dog and secure. The only little niggle (which wasn’t really a problem) was that the double bedroom to the right of the house seems to have a problem with ladybugs coming in through the window frames. Other than that we can’t fault this house at all.

Let me try to give balanced feedback on our recent May 2025 experience at Arlington House; the first 18 hrs of a three day stay were frankly uncomfortable. On arrival the house was cold - very cold - ( I guess it had not been occupied for a few days maybe longer ) and despite my best efforts I couldn’t get any response from the heating system. That evening we sat in the lounge under a duvet watching TV. 2nd half of May! The owner responded some hours after I messaged him to indicate that the heating had been left on “holiday” mode and that it would now work. It didn’t. The managing agent responded the following morning wrongly stating that they knew we now had the heating working. But neither of them actually picked up the phone to speak to us. On the first morning I was able to get the Boost to work (the user manual is not available to tenants) to warm the house and from then on I used this menu option in the absence of any apparent preset heating menu. So, it wasn’t until half way into our stay that the house finally began to feel warm and thus welcoming. By then we had also noticed the bulbs in two chandeliers that needed replacing, the clock in the kitchen that was stopped because the battery needed changing, the absence of oven gloves, the dishwasher asking for Rinse Aid. We never really got the towel rail upstairs to work so bath linen and the bath mat didn’t really dry before reuse. There were just the two of us; good job really in a house marketed for six because
