Emplacement central, proche centre ville et plage Place parking Logement très équipé en terme de cuisine

L’emplacement idéal à quelques pas de la plage et à quelques minutes à pied des supermarchés. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet appartement.

Le sommier du lit un peu grinçant

Great, spacious apartment in a fabulous location. Right in the centre of Machico with the beach and restaurants very close by. The apartment had everything we needed - spacious living and dining area and a very well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed taking a break from ‘holidaying’ to cook some home-cooked meals and it was made easy by having access to plenty of cooking equipment. The kitchen is modern and having both a dishwasher and washing machine was a huge plus for us. The bathroom is large, modern, and has lovely lighting. Two supermarkets (Pingo Doce and a very large Continente) are nearby to provide all the groceries you need. The nearby beach is beautiful and there are a handful of restaurants and kiosks nearby where you can grab something to eat. The host was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

The apartment is on the ground floor so can sometimes be noisy with foot traffic. From the outside it actually appears more like a shopfront with Madeira advertising on the front, so the large windows do not absorb outside noise very well, and there are lights around the building that shine into the apartment (these are okay in the bedroom where there are thick floor-to-ceiling curtains, but there is nothing to shield this light in the kitchen/living/dining area. The mattress and pillows are also very thin and could do with an upgrade (or even just having 2 more pillows available for extra comfort when sleeping). We also had no hand soap throughout the apartment for our stay, but that was no huge bother, we just bought some from the supermarket.

The location was close (a short walk) to the beach, parking felt secure and gated

Few pillows, uncomfortable mattress, no windows except for high ones on the glass walls, very few laundry tabs, couch is very firm and uncomfortable, lock on the door is a hassle
