The apartment was huge, clean and had everything inside. Only 10minutes by foot to the center.

Everything was fine

Communication was very good, and the owner was responsive to messages. He also offered to post items to us that he thought we had left which was very kind. Plenty of clean linen and towels to use. The bed was large and comfortable, as was the sofa bed. We appreciated the large fan in the bedroom in the heat. The shutters in the bedrooms were great for keeping out heat and light as well- very helpful for young kids and houses without air-conditioning. Only 15 mins walk to Pigeon Square (although see the below for the quality of the walk). Large living area and well stocked kitchen.

The shower was filthy. We actually had to scrub it with bleach the first night before use as there was so much mould, there was also lots of dirt and hair in the the runners of shower doors. There are a LOT of steps to the apartment and it is a 15 min walk uphill from town with very poor footpaths (all broken or narrowor parked on by cars), not great when you have a pram and it is hot. We didn't realise how steep or precarious the walk was from previous reviews. The dishwasher kept not working, there was no salt, and only two tablets left for a 7 night stay. Whilst very nice, it appears the manager has a different job which is full time (totally understandable in 2026) but this meant things like we had to wait a whole day for him to drop off salt and he unfortunately forgot to bring any dish tablets (though he did offer to reimburse us). The rug in the lounge was very dirty. There was the overall feel of using someone's house rather than a rental property, and that that person wasn't particularly clean and had lots of clutter with items in the house.
