Immersed in the green and luscious hills of Lucca, with unspoilt views all around, the house is conveniently located 20 minutes from the city centre and 30 minutes from the hip seaside town of Forte Dei Marmi. Originally built in medieval times as the parish house next to the church, the house has been sapiently restructured as a charming country family retreat by it's owners who have merged the best of the Italian style with the charm of the English eccentricity. The House features 2 terraces, one patio, one kitchen, one dining room for 10, one drawing room, two fireplaces, and one library/TV room, and one utility room.
The kitchen that opens onto the terrace, is fully equipped with a dishwasher and 2 ovens. It is informal and familiar, well organised for lovers of cooking.  It has a table for 4 frequently used for coffee breaks and snacks during the day. 
Master bedroom with bathroom ensuite, difficult to concentrate on your book and not look outside from the private terrace facing the Tuscan panorama.
Second master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. This bathroom has an artistic unique view on the ancient church of San Lorenzo. The bedroom is caractherised by ancient fabrics on the wall. Possibility of 2 twin beds.
Third master bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom receives the first sun of the day, facing east listening to the gentle flow of water in the stream. Possibility of 2 twin beds.
The attic has 4 beds, with the window on the ancient church and it feels like the island of the house, ideal for meditation.
On the ground floor the single room with ensuite shower bathroom is the most cosy room of the house just a step away from the garden.

The House is located in the village of Orbicciano, 15 minutes out of the city of Lucca. Just off the main road SP1 between Lucca and Camaiore, that is part of the ancient Via Francigena, the old pilgrim route linking Canterbury to Jerusalem.  It's central location in the hills allows to reach the key touristic locations, discover old towns, enjoy the seaside, as well as a walk in the mountains, or the white caves of Carrara
By car you can reach Pisa (airport) in 45 minutes; Lucca in 15 minutes; Pietrasanta in 15 minutes; Forte dei Marmi in 30 minutes; Florence in 60 minutes.  
It is possible to reach San Lorenzo from the airport of Pisa or Florence
