Aro Kato Nubian Guest House

I love Aswan and have stayed in many hotels over the years, but Aro Kato has become one of my absolute favorites. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and incredibly relaxing from the moment you arrive. The food deserves special recognition—unlike many places in Egypt with fixed menus and heavily grilled dishes, the chefs here happily adapt to your preferences, preparing lighter, healthier, and fresher meals in a European style while keeping authentic Egyptian flavors. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with spacious bathrooms that preserve traditional Nubian style with modern convenience. The location right on the Nile is peaceful and offers stunning views of Philae Temple, especially at sunrise and sunset. Above all, manager Ahmed makes the experience truly exceptional. He speaks flawless English, is highly professional, and pays genuine attention to every small detail. Ahmed goes far above and beyond to solve any request, make arrangements, and ensure complete guest comfort. His warmth, radiant positive energy, and outstanding management create an extraordinary atmosphere where you feel like a cherished family friend. I highly recommend Aro Kato for top-tier Nubian hospitality, amazing food, and ultimate comfort. I will definitely return!

أحب أقدّم شكر كبير لكل طاقم أوتيل أروكاتو على حسن الاستقبال والخدمة الرائعة. بصراحة كل شيء كان مميز، من التنظيم إلى الراحة اللي حسّينا بها طول الإقامة. شكر خاص للأستاذ يوسف على مجهوده في تنظيم الجولات السياحية، كان يعرّفنا على أجمل الأماكن ويحضّر برنامج مرتب خلّانا نزور كل شيء براحة ومتعة. كذلك ممدوح في المطعم، كان دائمًا مهتم براحتنا ويقدّم لنا الأكل بالطريقة اللي نحبها. والأكل عندهم بصراحة لذيذ جدًا، كل الأطباق كانت ممتازة، حتى الشيف اللي ما عرفنا اسمه يستحق كل الشكر. وزيادة على هذا، المكان هادئ وجميل لأنه في جزيرة، مناسب جدًا للاسترخاء وأخذ طاقة إيجابية. تجربة جميلة وأنصح بها كل من يحب الراحة

Séjour exceptionnel à l’hôtel Aro Kato ! L’accueil était très chaleureux et accueillent et la cuisine locale absolument délicieuse. L’hôtel est calme, avec une magnifique vue sur le temple de Philae illuminé le soir. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour leur disponibilité, notamment Youssef et Mohammed à la réception, Abdellah et notre chauffeur de felouque : Monsieur Nasser. Les chambres étaient propres, joliment décorées. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel !

What a stunning location, absolutely amazing views, and a truly peaceful atmosphere. This hotel is easy-going and relaxing, a far cry from your typical hotel experience in Egypt, which is exactly what made it so special. If you are into wildlife, you will love the herons, egrets and other birds from your balcony. Dinner was cooked fresh to order every night and was consistently tasty (thank you, Adel), rooms were comfortable and clean. You can really feel the pride the staff have in the hotel, and it shows in everything they do. Everyone went out of their way to arrange whatever we needed and make our stay effortless and enjoyable. I was genuinely sad to leave and would happily return.

Can't think of anything major. Maybe add lights next to the beds and make requesting the boat a little more streamlined.
