L aROMA ANTICA

The apartment is situated very close to Vatican City and a short walk away from both Metro and Bus routes which goes to Rome centre. The place was very clean and had all amenities as advertised. The kitchen is shared among three rooms and has everything you'd need to make a meal, including refrigerator, gas hob, oven, microwave. The neighbourhood seemed to be residential and safe. Also has a nice local cafe bar close-by called 'Bar Latteria' which I'd highly recommend for a quick breakfast and coffee. Tip: The walk from the metro is uphill and from the bus is downhill. If you have a choice, might be worth choosing the bus if you have heavy luggage.

Nothing

It was very clean and it felt very private but would have preferred a room with a balcony door as seen in pictures and expected

There was neighbour doing some repairs on their balcony I guess and could hear them working from very early in the morning and throughout the day

The shared kitchen was a nice given the lack of restaurants or cafes near the hotel. Bathroom had obviously recently been refurbished.

Location particularly for someone with mobility issues. Whilst the apartment has a lift you have to go up 2 flights of stairs to reach the lifts. Street nearby has stairs you have to navigate to reach the nearest bus stop. Buses in Rome are so overcrowded it was often impossible to get on with a wheelchair. The apartment is convenient for the Vatican. Apartment would be ok for able bodied person but not recommended for anyone with mobility issues
