Hannag Island Guest house

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location is incredible — literally right on the water, with your feet almost in the Nile. You feel completely away from everything, in a little haven of peace, while at the same time everything is incredibly easy to organise. The guest house itself is small, charming and full of Nubian character, with a lovely little terrace overlooking the water. Swimming, watching the sunset, sitting by the Nile… it really is a very special place. But what made our stay truly exceptional was Abdullah. He is extraordinarily kind, caring and helpful, and made absolutely everything easy for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely looked after like special guest or all the time. All our transfers were completely seamless. Between Aswan, Elephantine Island and the guest house, Abdullah and his brother Mustafa organised everything for us. Even an airport arrival around midnight or leaving for Abu Simbel at 3:30 am was not a problem. There was always someone there to help, whatever the time. Breakfast was delicious, generous and local, and there is also a very good little restaurant nearby. A beautiful, peaceful place with an exceptional host. We would come back without hesitation.

My stay in Hannag island was exceptional , me and my family stayed in Hannag island for 5 days, 4 nights and it was really amazing Everything was very tidy and clean The room was spacious and comfortable The bathroom was so clean and it had a very nice shower and the water pressure was decent Thanks to Mostafa and Abdallah who’re the owners for giving us lifts and were so patient with us Also we did a very nice nile trip and it was so fun I highly recommend the place if you’re looking for a quiet and nice gateway for your family and even alone you will enjoy that My mom and my sister are thanking you for your incredible hospitality and kindness Keep up the great work and always for the best Thanks Mostafa and Abdallah

Nothing , everything was fine

Wonderful stay on Hannag Island. Before coming here we were worried that it would be a bit hard to get to Elphantine and Aswan but Abdullah and Mustapha were on hand day and night to take us wherever we wanted to go. They even said we could borrow the rowing boat to get to Elphantine! Kids loved playing in the river and borrowed the little paddle board. The island is small but has a nice little beach and free black tea. Would definitely come here again when staying in Aswan.
