Harzhaus Altenau
The apartment is located on the top floor of the building. Unfortunately, the stairwell is somewhat narrow—about 65 cm—which is typical for buildings of this era, so please avoid bringing large, bulky suitcases.
Following extensive renovations, the apartment offers plenty of comfort and coziness. There are 2 bedrooms; if needed, the capacity can be increased to accommodate up to 6 people, with the cozy sleeper sofa providing a comfortable place to sleep.
The mountain town of Altenau in the Upper Harz region offers plenty of sports activities in both summer and winter. Hiking and biking trails start right at the house, and to cool off, head to the Okerteiche outdoor forest pool.
In winter, the cross-country ski trail is right behind the house, and there’s nothing standing in the way of tobogganing fun here, either. For relaxation, the Kristalltherme spa is available, or you can make yourself comfortable at home in front of the fireplace.
There are also many sports and culinary options available in the immediate vicinity, such as in Torfhaus.
