- We didn't have any real trouble getting the access code, even though we arrived after midnight.
- Finding the apartment was also fairly quick.
It is important to remember that El Gouna operates on a QR-code entry system, so don't forget to get the codes from the landlord in advance.
- The management team is efficient and resolves any issues quickly.
- There is a swimming pool right nearby that was practically empty (it was late September).
- There is also a beach close by with free sun loungers and umbrellas (a security guard notes down your apartment number).
- To the left of the Mangroovy Residence beach, you’ll find the Zouni Lounge beach complex, where you can have breakfast or lunch. However, on Egyptian weekends (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), there is an extra charge to enter, even if you just want to stop by for lunch.
- There are two grocery stores within a 5–8 minute walk.
- The apartment is on the ground floor.
On the one hand, this is quite convenient.
On the other hand, there is currently (as of September 2026) construction work going on right opposite, so the terrace furniture is dusty, and some of the cushions are torn.
- The sea is shallow; you have to walk 200–250 meters—with the water at knee or waist level—to reach deeper water. It is an ideal spot for kitesurfing, so there are many kitesurfers around, as well as several kite centers within a couple of kilometers.
- Unlike Abu Tig Marina, for example, the Mangroovy Residence area offers almost nowhere to dine out. Evening entertainment options are also scarce here. To get to other parts of El Gouna—for dinner, for example—you can take a tuk-tuk or a local taxi. The official fare for a tuk-tuk is 50 Egyptian pounds anywhere in El Gouna, though some drivers might play dumb and ask for more.

Everything was perfect!! You can see the beach when you get out literally. The apartment is very nice and clean
The parking is a bit far and its not easy when you have a family so put that on your mind
