The location of the apartment was absolutely ideal for our family's first trip to Rome. The metro was close enough for backpackers and major sights and grocery stores were within easy walking distance. Instead of the store near the Colosseum I recommend checking out the one in the opposite direction for grocery shopping. The host's communication, flexibility (like letting us pay the city tax in cash), hospitality and attentiveness were exceptional. The welcome drink and handy maps were wonderful surprises. We also used their restaurant recommendations and enjoyed some truly excellent pizza in the neighborhood. If our travel budget had been more flexible we would have loved to try the extra services offered such as having a private chef at the apartment. What an amazing option! I loved the thoughtful decor, personality and practicality of the apartment. Cooking there was incredibly smooth. It was also wonderful to rest in the air-conditioned rooms. Despite being on the ground floor it was perfectly quiet with no disturbing street noise. Big plus for the recycling setup! We would gladly stay here again with our family on our next trip to Rome. Thank you!

There are a couple of things that could be improved. First the check-in time listed on Booking.com needs to be clearer. It stated check-in was possible from 10 AM, which would have been ideal since we arrived on an overnight train. However the apartment was still being cleaned after the previous guests, which is completely understandable, but the listing was misleading. It turns out 10 AM was only for dropping off luggage and the site didn't state a separate time for when the room would actually be ready. This caused some confusion in the morning when we arrived to pick up the keys and drop off our backpacks. Luckily the cleaning was finished earlier than expected (the actual check-in time was maybe at 2 or 3 PM) and we got to rest sooner. Second there was a lapse in communication within the host's team. On our second day I received a WhatsApp message asking for the city tax payment even though we had already paid it in cash upon arrival (at my request instead of using the external website link provided so a big thank you for accommodating this!). After explaining this and asking them to check with the person we met at arrival they quickly checked and apologised but the confusion caused unnecessary stress on our last evening. Lastly I would prefer all main communication to stay within the Booking.com chat. The hosts should also inform guests proactively about flexible payment options like cash. Receiving a link via WhatsApp to an external payment site for city taxes made me suspicious of a scam especially since the price was very affordable for Rome and there was a clear scam listing active in the Colosseum area at the same time. Fortunately my worries were completely groundless! Because of the stress caused by these payment and check-in misunderstandings I had to lower my rating slightly for an otherwise excellent stay but I still highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

Ottima zona, struttura molto carina, fresca e pulita
