Tonight Homestay South Shanxi Road Shanghai

The location was perfect, not too far from the metro stations for lines 1, 2 & 10. The place was in the middle of a lane house area but the videos shared before arrival made it perfectly clear where to go and turn etc. The keypad gives security. It's a basement apartment and it smelled a bit damp but once it was aired out (especially the washer) it was fine. It is a home away from home in all manners. All toiletries and appliances you can think of and hosts super responsive when my WiFi didn't work..it was my phone not their WiFi and it's China.

It was a cozy room, just plain and simple, yet with the charm of the old neighbourhood. Just what we were after.

All good

We had a wonderful stay and are very grateful for the experience. The accommodation is lovely, comfortable, peaceful, and very well located, which made it easy for us to move around Shanghai and explore the city. What truly made our stay special, however, was the kindness and attention of our hosts. They were always very helpful, attentive, and willing to support us whenever we needed assistance. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, and they made us feel very welcome and cared for. We especially appreciated their patience, generosity, and willingness to help us with different situations during our trip. Those small gestures made a big difference and showed us how much they genuinely care about their guests. They are truly wonderful hosts, and we are very thankful for everything they did for us. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Shanghai. Thank you so much for making our time in the city even more special! ❤️🙏

The communication was very good.

The apartment is pretty small. the outside courtyard had not been cleaned in months. There was no internet. I had to walk outside onto the street to get coverage. having to pay in cash was a hassle.
